“We can confirm that on August 29, 2022, around 8 p.m., the police services have turned to the Wolvendpark in Uccle for several gunshots,” the prosecutor said. “Once on the scene, police found a man lying on the ground with a head injury. The victim was taken to hospital where he was given brain death.”
The public prosecutor’s office was notified and ordered the first investigation orders. For example, the judicial lab and a law doctor were appointed, who started an investigation the same evening on the spot. The investigating judge and the public prosecutor also dismounted on the spot.
That same evening, a suspect, a 34-year-old man, was arrested. “He was heard by the investigating judge and placed under arrest warrant for attempted murder,” the prosecutor’s office continues.
according to L’Avenir It concerns two brothers of the victim and two brothers who have concluded a suicide pact. They will be planned in the Wolvendaal Park, where one brother would have shot the other. The second brother would then have shied away from taking his own life. The Brussels public prosecutor’s office is not commenting on that reporting for the time being.
“The judicial investigation is ongoing to investigate the correct circumstances of the incident,” said the prosecutor. “In the interest of the investigation, the public prosecutor will not communicate further about this.”
