Jean-Jacques Goldman breaks the silence: this surprise letter to college students
The very discreet Jean-Jacques Goldman made people talk about him this Thursday, September 1st. The exiled pensioner in London translated a nice message to Alsatian schoolchildren who knew how to touch him in the heart.
Jean-Jacques Goldman retired from public life in 2016. So every time he is talked about, it’s a small event. This Thursday, September 1, the singer-songwriter, favorite artist of the French, returned to the front of the stage for a few moments, like the rapporteur our colleagues from BFM TV. The one who settled in London wanted to speak to congratulate Alsatian college students. The lucky ones? Students with disabilitieswho had made a clip last June called Together. Objective : change the way people look at disabilities. A project that asked touched the musician, empl of benevolence, also author of a title entitled Together.
“Congratulations to all for this great song TOGETHER! To the students of Albert Camus, to the teachers, to the musicians and directors! The project and the song are good! Thanks ! Sincerely. JJG” congratulated, very moved, the artist in a letter. It is thanks to the teachers that the latter got wind of this beautiful project. “I know that he is sensitive to everything related to education and difference. We had sent him the model of the project at the start and he was touched by the texts written by the children” explained Céline Ledru, librarian professor at Albert Camus College at France Blue.
When Jean-Jacques Goldman comes out of retirement for a good cause
Always with benevolence, Jean-Jacques Goldman had already come out of his reserve last January, to address a few high school students in second class. For a book titled Stars & High School Students Positive Against Coronavirus, the artist had agreed to answer a few questions. The opportunity to give his vision of the health crisis and how he and his family had been impacted. In more personal confidences, he had mentioned his mother Ruth Ambrunn, also confined but in a completely different era, that of the Second World War. A quality interview, provided, intimate, which had amazed the young students. When Jean-Jacques Goldman chooses to come out of silence, he does not do things by halves.
