“It’s savagery”, reacts Gérald Darmanin who promises sanctions
An investigation is opened after the beating of a young man last weekend on the Saint-Pierre bridge, in Toulouse. The images of the aggression, of extreme violence, landed on social networks. Gérald Darmanin the Minister of the Interior promises that the perpetrators will be found.
The images are shocking. On the night of Friday August 26 to that of Saturday 27, a man was violently attacked on the Saint-Pierre bridge in Toulouse. The images, filmed by a municipal video surveillance camera, ended up on social networks. On the set of the program C à vous on France 5 this Wednesday evening, the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin described a real “savagery” and promised heavy sanctions against the perpetrators being identified.

Gérald Darmanin directly translated to the victim, named Jérôme: “I want to say to Jérôme, as to all those who are legitimately very shocked by these images, that the resources of the police are very important. We will certainly find his attackers since there are images from video surveillance cameras. always find them. The police always win in the end.”
The victim, a young father, miraculously escaped with head trauma, broken nose and jaw. The city of Toulouse has opened an administrative investigation to understand how the images of the attack were broadcast on social networks.
