Navy military preparation is a military and maritime course that allows you to discover the French Navy as close as possible to your home, anywhere in France. This is the case in Haute-Savoie in Annecy and Evian.
Whether preparing for a commitment, joining as a reservist or discovering the maritime environment, each trainee has the opportunity to live a unique and enriching experience. The military preparations also make it possible to discover the spirit of crew and to acquire the taste of the effort. There are more than 80 Marine Military Preparation Centers in mainland France and overseas.
Marine military preparation (PMM), accessible to all school levels, takes place in two stages: a program of activities spread over approximately 12 Saturdays during the school year, supplemented by a five-day period at a base naval, to discover the units of the navy. The training provides an introduction to maneuvers, navigation, handling of weapons, first aid training. Outings to the sea, visits to warships are also assumed during this five-day period at the naval base.
