200 schoolchildren helped by the association Les enfants de Frankie for the start of the school year
To start the new year off on the right foot, the Monegasque association distributes second-hand boxes, notebooks and pencils to underprivileged children.
Since 2015, volunteers have repeated the same gestures in September. They collect and distribute school supplies to young school children in the Alpes-Maritimes in need via associations in the region such as SOS Villages d’Enfants.
Thanks to the “Give your old schoolbag” operation, the Department of National Education, Youth and Sports (DENJS), the Monegasque Distribution Company and associations, 200 children will benefit from donations this year. Most are either represented in orphanages, hospitalized, refugees or asylum seekers.
