Toulouse. The Opera and the Orchester du Capitole participate in the “return to music”
Initiated by the Ministers of Culture and National Education in September 2017, in a common desire to encourage school and extracurricular musical practices, the “back to school in music” will open the start of the 2022 school year, with its 6th edition. Pupils, teachers, parents, choirs and orchestras are invited to sing and play in all schools and establishments.
Raising young audiences’ awareness of opera, dance and classical music is one of the primary objectives that the Opera and the Orchester national du Capitole have set themselves, through their educational activities, in partnership with the Rectorate. from the Academy of Toulouse. The “back to school in music” is part of the continuity of projects such as Le Bus Figaro, adaptation in one hour and in French of The Barber of Seville by Rossini. On tour in schools, this show met more than 7,000 students in May 2022.
On the occasion of this “return to music”, musicians from the Orchester national du Capitole, as well as the soprano Céline Laborie, will perform in several schools.
