Milan, despite the stop at Sassuolo, Pioli can still smile
The summer market is not yet closed but at Milan, we can consider ourselves resolutely satisfied with what we have done so far. The current problem, however, concerns the attack. Indeed, the attackers are almost all injured and the Diavolo are struggling to score. But luckily for Pioli, good news is coming from the infirmary…
It was the Milano to open the fourth day of Serie A, inaugurating the first round of the season in midweek, with a draw in Emilian soil. The team led by the coach Stefano Pioli failed to bring all three points to the stadium which only a few months ago offered the Rossoneri the nineteenth Scudetto in club history.
Due to repeated injuries, the Milan team has problems in attack and this offensive deficiency also affected in yesterday’s game. Against Sassuolo, indeed, the Rossoneri had a hard time worrying about the opposing rearguard and Pioli ultimately failed to break through the Black and White defensive line, ending the game 0-0.
A result that leaves a bitter taste in the mouth of the Rossoneri coach, but at Mapei Stadium it could have been even worse, as Berardi missed a penalty midway through the first half.

Milan, there is also good news
The eleven-yard shot was not converted by the striker. Berardithanks to the parade Maignan. The providential intervention of the French goalkeeper made it possible to avoid the worst, but the lack of offensive weight of the Rossoneri was also configured in this match.
With this result, the guests moved up to eight points in the standings, already losing ground to Roma and also found themselves behind Inter on the eve of the derby. In the other two early games of the day, the Rome (3-0 home win against Monza) and theInter (which took over Cremonese 3-1) did their duty, taking them to 10 and 9 points respectively, plus two and plus one over the Rossoneri. This did not please Pioli at all, although the Rossoneri coach himself received news in the evening that put him back in a good mood.
The news concerns the current situation of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The striker was examined in Lyon by Dr Bertrand Sonnery Cottet three months after his left knee operation. The consultation was positive. As expected, the Swede’s knee is on the mend and the player will continue his rehabilitation in order to be available for the Italian coach as soon as possible. Zlatan is expected to return to the pitch next January.
