35,000 people without electricity in Rouen, Petit-Quevilly and Sotteville-lès-Rouen

A power cut quite important affected the metropolis of Rouen (Seine Maritime) Wednesday August 31, 2022 at the beginning of the afternoon. The Left Bank and Île Lacroix sectors were impacted, but also in Petit-Quevilly and Sotteville-lès-Rouendepriving a total of 34,882 customers of power, as indicated by Enedis.
Contacted, the City of Rouen confirms that Enedis “told us that there were many cuts”, and specifies that this mainly concerns “the left bank sector. The Tip network was also disrupted.

According to Enedis, the incident started precisely at 1:54 p.m. before ending at 2:16 p.m. with the resupply of electricity to all the households affected. “The cause of the incident remains unknown for the time being”, underlines Enedis which specifies that investigations are in progress.
