Thessaloniki is broadcast from Tel Aviv to the world’s television audience.
The famous show “Holy Land Uncovered”, hosted by Emily Frances, airs on i24 News English on September 18 at 5pm, starring… Thessaloniki!
The promo videos of the show are already being broadcast, giving the impression of the content that the viewers are going to watch.
The Thessaloniki Tourism Organization embraced the initiative of EOT Israel Services and its head, Dimitris Vassiliadis, and hosted the international television channel i24news, on a journalistic trip to highlight the multiculturalism of Thessaloniki.
The filming of her shows took place at the end of July, with Mrs. Frances presenting the most important attractions of Thessaloniki as well as its culinary identity, as an aspect of culture that reflects its historicity and traditions.
The aim of the trip is to approach the tourist market of Israel, highlight the multiculturalism of Thessaloniki, the historical connection of the city with the Jewish element and the recording of different historical and religious traditions.
It is worth noting that i24news has a global impact, as it broadcasts in English, French and Arabic and is also available from a private platform in Greece.
Due to its news-based nature, it is watched by viewers with a high consumer profile (e.g. entrepreneurs, investment people, technology, etc.), while its viewership exceeds established giants (e.g. BBC, CNN, FRANCE 24) in local markets.
Currently, over 1 billion households have access to the channel, and equally importantly, it has satisfactory penetration in the United Arab Emirates.
