F1 Grand Prix of the Netherlands: this is the timetable and program

Last year the Grand Prix of the Netherlands was on the program for the first time since 1985. In 2021, thanks to the corona crisis, there were not 100,000 people a day on the circuit. However, this did not stop Max Verstappen from taking pole position and the win and dominating the weekend. The weekend turned out to be a success, both in terms of results and atmosphere. The organization made an impression and hopes to build on this in 2022. So this year with 100,000 fans a day.
Circuit
The circuit in Zandvoort is 4.2 kilometers long and has fourteen corners, including a few bends. In total, the drivers race 72 laps on Sunday, a total of 306.5 kilometers. The first Grand Prix in Zandvoort was in 1952, the last in 1985. Last year, however, the Grand Prix of the Netherlands successfully returned to the calendar, then with two DRS zones. This year there will also be two, but the DRS zone at the Arie Luyendyk bend will be longer. This is to ensure that drivers can activate their DRS before the last corner. The lap record is held by Lewis Hamilton, who recorded a 1.11.097 during the race last year.
Thursday and Friday
On Thursday there will be little to do for the fans, but there will already be something to do on the circuit to attend the images. It will be busy from Friday, because in addition to Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3 and Porsche Supercup are also present in Zandvoort. however the action starts, is there at 10:00 am Good morning GPFans. Formula 3 and Formula 2 will kick off the action-packed weekend with their first and only free practice at 08:55 and 10:05. The first free practice for Formula 1 will then be from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. After that, Formula 3 and Formula 2 will qualify at 2 PM and 3 PM. The Friday will then be continued by Formula 1 (4:00 pm to 5:00 pm VT2), with the free practice of the Porsche Supercup as a conclusion from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Saturday
Formula 3 opens on Saturday, with the first race of the weekend at 10:25 am. The second free practice session of Formula 1 will then be held from 12:00 to 13:00, followed by qualifying in the Porsche Supercup (13:30 to 14:00). Then Formula 1 took over again, with qualifying from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Formula 2 closes on Saturday, with the first F2 race of the weekend at 5 p.m.
Sunday
Then on to Sunday, where there are four races on the program. Formula 3 will start their second race at 08:45, later the second race of the F2 weekend is scheduled at 10:20. Then it’s time for the Porsche Supercup (11:50 am), topped off with the F1 Grand Prix of the Netherlands. The race starts at 3:00 PM. After the race there are also performances on and around the circuit to close out the weekend.
