Large drug catch thanks to vigilant district inspector
Thanks to an alert district inspector, the local police of the Brussels-Capital/Ixelles zone has been able to make a significant drug bust. During a practical interview with a person under release, the community police officer could see photos with different types of drugs. The man was later re-arrested.
On August 16, at the invitation of the police, a man presented himself to the police station in the center of Brussels. It was a conversation in the context of the follow-up of his derivative release. During the conversation, the man pointed out to the officers that he had not stayed on the right path.
The district inspector who took part in the conversation asked the man to look at the photo material on his smartphone. Several images of drugs were found between the photos. The man then gave a large amount of narcotics.
During a visit to the suspect’s home, 52 grams of cocaine, 111 grams of amphetamines, 541 ecstasy pills, approximately 3,000 Kamagra pills, 28 grams of ketamine and 2,360 euros in cash were found. The house was searched by the dog brigade of the Brussels-Capital/Ixelles police zone, in collaboration with the people of Proxi Centre.
“It has enabled the inspector’s vigilance that has been viewed under the radar until then,” it said in a press release.
