Ligue 1. Against Nantes, will the Toulouse Football Club already have a bit of a head for PSG?

On paper, the start of the TFC season is successful for its return to Ligue 1, among the greats.
With two draws (which could have turned into a victory within minutes) and a win (3-0 at Troyes), the Violets comply for the moment with their running chart in a season of all dangers where, it should be remembered, there will be four descents to the lower level instead of two and a roadblocker in normal times.
The president of the TFC “both satisfied and frustrated”
However, in the interview that we recently granted to the president of Toulouse, Damien Comolli, the latter was almost choosy, a true perfectionist.
“I’m both satisfied and frustrated. Satisfied because in the game, we produced a lot and that’s what we want to do: to have our identity, our style of play, our philosophy, our approach to football. “It’s also frustrating because we lead twice at home and we are overtaken. I don’t know yet if we are aiming for maintenance or more. What is certain is that we refuse to set limits”.
Bad news has come to tarnish this good start to the season: the serious injury of English striker Rhys Healey (rupture of a cruciate ligament in the left knee), who will be absent for several months and will be sorely missed in the rotation with Dutch rookie Dallinga (already scorer twice).
The head already at PSG?
Another factor could disturb Toulouse: the prospect of the poster of the year at the Stadium against PSG, scheduled for Wednesday August 31, 2022, in which each player will obviously want to participate. An enticing poster for which 700 tickets are still for sale this Saturday.
Nantes: not a cador, but…
Against the men of Philippe Montanier, FC Nantes (Loire-Atlantique) only gleaned two points in three games. If the Canaries are not part of the cadors of Ligue 1, or even of the big outsiders such as Lens, Nice or Rennes, the club is surrounded by greater media coverage than the TFC. And the players of Antoine Kombouaré, winners of the Coupe de France last season, will play the group stage of the Europa League.
Nantes-TFC, Sunday August 28, 2022 at 1 p.m., at the Beaujoire stadium.
