What will have been: between technique and emotion, the excellence of the Australian company Circa. -Avignon
The unmissable Théâtre des lucioles presented this year and for the first time in Avignon the Australian company Circa and their show “What will have been” for a little over an hour of emotions.
Rare are the shows mixing so separately, intimate universe, physical prowess and poetic dimension… “What will have been“ticks all the boxes, Circa is a hit!
They are only 3 acrobats, one woman and two men, but what a technique! In this creation the prowess falls in avalanches, acrobatics, rope, hand to hand, balances, all dressed in an effective light creation.
There is a real sensitivity in all these numbers with strong intentions of the dancers that we can read on the faces and see in their gestures.
And then there is also this fourth man, a violinist who accompanies most of the acts as beautiful to see playing his instrument as to listen to.
“What will have been” is a troubling spectacle both in terms of its technical and artistic qualities, it’s a little gem that you can go and see not with your eyes closed but on the contrary wide open!
