She’s finally back! After a shutdown of just over a month, line T1 of the Tramway in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) will be put back into service this Saturday, August 27, 2022. The line leaves from the Palais de Justice and serves 24 stations to the MEET exhibition center, in Aussonne (Haute-Garonne).
It had been shut down with the T2 line from July 17, 2022. The T2 line was restarted on Wednesday August 17, 2022, from the Palais de Justice to the airport.
It is therefore the route between Ancely and the MEET that will resume.
A break for work
If the trams were shut down this year, it was for work to be carried out by Tisséo. And this for several objectives detailed by the agency last July: “coherent work at renovate the tracksto create a third way dedicated to partial terminus and create a local technique required to operation”.
This third route was completed at Oddysud in Blagnac. It is moreover the Oddysud partial terminus project don’t Toulouse news revealed the project to you some time ago. Concretely, here, a new terminus is being created to increase the frequency of frames on the T2 line. The frequency will be one frame every 4.5 minutes between the Palais-de-Justice and Odyssud, then 9 minutes on the Odyssud – MEETT section.
The work is part of the project of the Airport Express Line (LAE). It will connect the Jean-Maga sector (where there will be a station on the future metro line) to the airport in 7 minutes via the rails of the T2 line.
