The Euro draw decided: Ludogorets again brought Mourinho to Bulgaria
Jose Mourinho will have to come to Bulgaria again. This is the big news from the draw for the group stage of the Europa League, which brought together Roma and Ludogorets. The remaining two teams in the group of the Bulgarian champion with Betis and HIK (Helsinki).
The Portuguese specialist is facing home teams for the fourth time in just 2 years. In 2020, when he will be in charge of Tottenham, there will be consecutive matches against Lokomotiv (Plovdiv) and Ludogorets.
The following year, fate again offered him a Bulgarian obstacle, when, already in charge of Roma, he met CSKA.
So far in their history, Ludogorets have never played any of the three teams in their group.
The full program will become clear later this evening, and the only thing that is certain is that the first match of the Razgrad team in the group phase will be on September 8.
The first place finisher in the group stage qualifies directly for the eliminations in the Europa League. The second-place finisher plays a play-off round with the teams relegated from the Champions League, while the third-place finisher continues in a play-off round in the Conference League.
