Head to Albi, in the Tarn, for a luminous stroll. A light show pays tribute to Toulouse-Lautrec.
The atmosphere is almost surreal in Albi (Tarn). The Moulin Rouge spreads its wings on one of the towers of the Palais de la Berbie. Lighthouse of Parisian nights, it invites the public to enter another era: that of the end of the 19th century, lived and painted by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. 300 of his works are projected and animate the red brick walls. You can recognize the paintings and posters that made the reputation of the Tarn artist.
“We plunge back squarely into the world of Toulouse-Lautrec”rejoices a spectator. “Toulouse-Lautrec is something that has always touched me, and I really wanted to see this show. I find it marvelously good”, adds a woman. Each evening, three 30-minute sessions take 200 to 300 people to the open-air museum, offering a journey into the colorful world of Toulouse-Lautrec.
