Uncompromising for Austria: Rosencrantz presents the first FPÖ election poster – federal presidential election
On Thursday, the FPÖ presented the first election poster of its candidate Walter Rosenkranz for the expected federal presidential election.
“Uncompromising for Austria” can be read on it. The posters will be posted throughout Austria from September. There were still no details on the number of declarations of support that had already been received. “I would like to wait until everyone is in our house,” Rosary asked for understanding.
“Uncompromising for Austria”: election poster by Rosencrantz
In politics – and in life – there are always compromises, Rosenkranz explained the slogan. “But there are areas where a compromise is not possible for me,” he clarified. Because it is then a “so-called lazy compromise”. This is the case when one side has been ripped off.
In the interests of the country, he does not want to receive such. Lazy compromises have no place in areas such as freedom, neutrality, prosperity, security and the future. Incumbent Alexander Van der Bellen, on the other hand, “nodded off” everything. For example, he did not defend the constitution against an “unconstitutional corona policy”.
Rosencrantz announced that if he were to become President, he would review laws before signing them to ensure they were constitutional. “Why doesn’t an active federal president do that?” The FP applicant also held out the prospect of wanting to get involved in assessment procedures as part of legislative projects.
Rosencrantz again proved right to remove a government
He also reiterated the president’s right to remove a government. In any case, he would not do this for fun and frolics or for party political calculations, he asserted – but emphasized: “There must be no ban on thinking here.”
Rosenkranz did not want to commit to a desired result in the ballot on October 9th. His goal would be to get into a runoff, he confirmed once more.
Van der Bellen will not face a TV duel
There was also criticism for Van der Bellen because he will not take part in a TV duel. If the Federal President fears that he will not be able to get through a discussion, then one has to ask oneself whether he is still “capable”, said party leader Herbert Kickl. If the worst comes to the worst, Van der Bellen is also the supreme commander of the army, who must have a certain “stress resistance”, he pointed out.
Kickl confirmed today that there had also been talks with competitor Tassilo Wallentin about possible support from the FPÖ. Wallentin approached him, Kickl reported. We talked about joining forces. Kickl indicated, however, that no agreement had been reached on the question of “coercive corona measures”. With the strict rejection of these measures, there is no “rumeirn” with him, said the FPÖ boss.
And it is also possible that “personal vanity” sometimes plays a role in a candidacy, he suspected. In any case, he came to the conclusion that the social contacts and all of Mr. Wallentin’s art “are not as compatible with the project of a social homeland party as he might have imagined”.
