Eneco is going to lower the compensation for owners of solar panels that feed power back to the electricity grid. From September 5, the rate will be up to 9 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh). The compensation is still ground to the electricity price and can rise to more than 50 cents.
According to Eneco, 9 cents per kWh is a market price. The energy company has protected the regular electricity tariff for the supply fee in recent years, but says that this is no longer necessary because solar panels have become a lot more popular again. The adjustment of customers on an annual basis charges a hundred euros less.
