Several nights of work on the A61 between Toulouse and Narbonne
During the month of September, the section of the A61 motorway between Montgiscard (31) and Castelnaudary (11) will be closed for several nights due to works.
You will have to be patient and plan your trips on the A61 motorway between Toulouse and Narbonne. Indeed, the portion of this highway between Montgiscard (31) and Castelnaudary (11) will be closed for several nights due to works from September. Disruptions will be between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. in both directions of traffic.
“As part of the upgrade to 2×3 lanes of the A61 on the motorway section between the A66/A61 junction and the Port de Lauragais service area, the company ASF Vinci Autoroutes will carry out the installation of vertical signage, the compliance of the restraint systems on three overpasses and the repair of the pavements on the Villefranche-de-Lauragais interchange”, indicates a decree published by the Haute-Garonne prefecture on Friday August 19.
Works on the A61 from Toulouse to Narbonne
The decree of the prefecture of Haute-Garonne first announces the closure of the A61 between the interchanges of Montgiscard and Castelnaudary, in the Toulouse direction towards Narbonne. This closure is scheduled from Monday 5 to Thursday 8 September, at night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. This implies several restrictions:
– Compulsory exit to Montgiscard in the direction of Montpellier,
– entry prohibited at Montgiscard in the direction of Montpellier,
– closure of the junction ramp from the A66 Foix to the A61 Montpellier,
– closure of the entrance ramps to the Villefranche-de-Lauragais interchange towards Toulouse and Montpellier.
In the event of technical or weather problems, these closures could be announced from September 8 to September 23 under the same operating conditions.
In the direction of Castelnaudary towards Montgiscard
The work will lead to the closure of traffic between the Castelnaudary interchange and the A61-A66 junction ramp from Monday September 12 to Thursday September 15, at night from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Here again, this implies constraints for motorists:
– Compulsory exit to Castelnaudary towards Toulouse,
– closure of the entrance ramps to the Villefranche-de-Lauragais interchange towards Toulouse and Montpellier.
In the event of technical or weather problems, these closures could be announced between September 15 and September 30.
