The sun, disappointed with the human and the destruction he sowed behind him, is gone. The moon, which watches over the world, calls on Milo, a young boy from the village, to help him find the sun. He goes alone through the land and its landscapes, in a dreamlike and marvelous quest, full of encounters.
Will he succeed in finding the sun and proving to it that humans deserve a second chance?
