Premier League: Ex-Salzburg Naby Keita before Liverpool jump? – Soccer – International
Liverpool – Thursday 18/08/2022, 11:00 am
Liverpool FC and Naby Keita could go their separate ways in the last few weeks of transfers.
The ex-Salzburg kicker has been part of the team of “Reds” coach Jürgen Klopp since the summer of 2018, but he never arrived at the English top club.
As “Sky” now wants to know, the 27-year-old midfielder is said to be out of action by the summer of 2023 despite contracts. Because the captain of the Guinean national team is aiming for more playing time, the five minutes in the Community Shield are not enough for the 50-time national player in the current season.
Keita has not yet been able to draw the attention of anyone interested, unlike in the summer of 2016. Because he switched from the Admiral Bundesliga champion RB Salzburg to the German Bundesliga and, after the 30 million transfer, played for RB Leipzig until the summer of 2018.
Keita would not be the first ex-Salzburger
The move to England ultimately cost the “Reds” 60 million euros. Keita won both the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League with his current employers.
Should the 27-year-old actually change, he would be the third ex-Salzburg player to leave the traditional club this summer. Because both the same age Japanese Takumi Minamino (Ligue 1, AS Monaco) and the 30-year-old king transfer Sadio Mane (German Bundesliga, Bayern Munich) are no longer at home with the “Reds”.
