Released for the first time in 2020 under the title Maia van maanen: from the White Earth to the lunar eclipsethe work of Clemence Lechevalierresident ofHerouville-Saint-Clair (Calvados), has just been published once again, in June 2022 : Maia and Friends: Dark of the Moon. Details.
Because his first book was a “puzzle”
When writing her first book, the author was young. The first version of “Maia and her friends” was written during her high school years, when she was 18 years old. So on a literary journey, Clémence Lechevalier trained on her own. No member of his family is able to help him. She does not follow any plot to write her first work, a bit like “puzzle pieces that we put together”.
Because she took lessons with a screenwriter
Since her first book, she has taken lessons with Fabrice Céleste, screenwriter. For almost a year, he advised her on the rewriting of her book. He encouraged him to list all the elements of his story in a binder, “to make Wikipedia files”. These writing tools helped the author better organize her story. The construction of “Maia and her friends” was thus easier. Within months, the book was rewritten.
Because this is the first volume of a trilogy
The work is the first of the trilogy: “The Dark Side of the Moon”. Volume 1 out, the author has already tackled the next that she hopes to offer “in a few months or, at the latest, in a year”.
