With blatant changes to the fix, new equipment and an even more refined interior, the first model designed by DS Automobiles can now be ordered in Portugal. The renewed DS 7, the French brand’s top-of-the-range SUV, will test prices from €50,530, with the entry price corresponding to the version equipped with the 1.5 BlueHdi of 130 hpat the base equipment level, called Bastille.
But this same motorization may imply a disbursement of €60,030, if the choice falls on the most complete equipment level (Opera). There are still two other intermediate lines, namely the Performance Line and Rivoli, sold for €52,030 and €55,030, respectively.
DS 7 renews itself. Lose Crossback, Gain Power
However, the brand’s big bet is on plug-in hybrid mechanics (PHEV), which adds a new, more powerful variant, with 360 hp, which will join the already known versions with 225 and 300 hp.. A novelty is also the reinforcement of the capacity of the accumulator, replacing a previous 13.2 kWh replacement battery with another 14.2 kWh, which allows the renewed SUV to be adjustable up to 65 km in electric mode, according to the WLTP mixed homologation cycle, or 81 km in urban cycle. The automatic engine for an operating power at the service of the PHEV less is the PureTech gasoline block of CV, supplemented with 110 hp of energy, coupled to an eight-speed gearbox. The 300 and 360 hp PHEVs are the only ones to offer all-wheel drive, courtesy of the installation of two electric motors, one per axle. – 1110v in the anticipated and 112c in the tres tresc. Both, the electronic purchase engine is a block of purchase200 c, so the difference in power is due exclusively to the management.
As a result of the tax benefits they enjoy, these versions promise to be more popular, especially among business customers, with prices starting at €56,130. That is, about €6000 above the cheapest DS 7 diesel.
The unique front-wheel drive version is available in four trim levels, with the DS 7 E-Tense 225 4×2 in cream at €56,130 in the Bastille line.; €57,630 (Performance Line); €60,630 (Rivoli) or €65,630 (Opera). Already the 300 hp PHEV maintains the four equipment levels, but has the Performance Line as an entry-level version (€62,430) and introduces the Performance Line+ (€64,130), with the Rivoli level requiring €65,430 and the top-of-the-range Ópera demanding €70,430 in return.
Finally, the DS 7 E-Tense 4×4 360 is only available in the most enriched equipment levels, which have the La Première edition as their exponent and maximum price (76,230€). Rivoli is budgeted at €69,730 and the Opera costs €74,730. The 7, the most powerful in the range, has a chassis lowered by 15 mm, wider tracks (24 mm at the front and 10 mm at the rear) and enjoys a special tuning. It announces 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and, according to the brand, the 1000 meters are reached in 25.4 seconds.
The first units of the renewed DS 7 will reach Portuguese customers, if all goes as planned, in February next year.
