Foot OM – OM: Nice doesn’t care about Marseille, Dieng is no
It has been agreed since the start of the summer that OM want to sell Bamba Dieng. After several foreign clubs, OGC Nice showed interest in the Senegalese. But, the Aiglons want him on loan.
If recruitments are linked at a steady pace at OM, the same cannot be said for sales. Luan Peres and Lucas Perrin are the only two players to have filled the Marseille coffers for less than seven million euros. It’s very meager 15 days from the end of the summer transfer window when selling was a goal set by Frank McCourt to Pablo Longoria last June. If Marseille players are still far from seducing European clubs, one striker is an exception: Bamba Dieng. The young Senegalese does not fit into Igor Tudor’s plans but he is high on the list of transferable players this summer.
Nice wants a loan, it’s 15 million euros or nothing for OM
OM are not mistaken about the commercial potential of Bamba Dieng. The latter is coveted by a good number of clubs, in Germany, Portugal and England. For a few days, a French club has even become embedded in the file, OGC Nice. The Aiglons need a new striker and Dieng’s profile suits them well. The Senegalese is not insensitive to the Nice project, he who wants to stay in Ligue 1, if possible still on the Mediterranean coast.
🚨 Nice is ready to make a loan offer with option to buy for Bamba Dieng.
The challenge appeals to the player.

However, there is a catch, it is the Nice offer. Nice wants Dieng on loan with an option to buy, which is inconceivable for OM. According to Provence, Pablo Longoria categorically rejects this option and wants a dry transfer of at least 15 million euros for his 22-year-old striker. It’s even simple according to the regional daily. If no satisfactory offer arrives on August 31, Dieng remains a Marseille player without this posing a problem for Pablo Longoria. The president of OM does not intend to make gifts for his nugget, and especially not in Nice held by the extremely wealthy boss of Ineos.
