Third robbery this summer in Alcorisa in the houses of the old road of Andorra
The houses on the old road to Andorra, in Alcorisa, have registered at least three robberies in just a month and a half. The last one occurred on the night of Thursday to Friday in a house in which there was no one at that time. The thieves took jewelry and clothing, although they had more valuable objects at their disposal.
The same situation, which surprises the other affected, has occurred in two houses. “Two weeks ago, they entered the house that we have wall to wall and only took two wrenches and a screwdriver. They went out through the garage door and there was the car with the keys in it, ”explained the last affected, Javier García, with astonishment.
In addition, “a month and a half ago, 50 meters from here, another neighbor was entered. They only took a watch from him,” Garcia said. In his case, the theft was limited to some bracelets, earrings and necklaces; old t-shirts, two pairs of sneakers and a sweatshirt, “when there are laptops, bicycles, watches…”, he wondered.
The thieves entered the house before half past one in the morning, when Garcia’s daughter made an appearance. She found messy rooms, but not the looters. The rest of the family was partying in another town. Therefore, she believes that they are being watched.
“When she told us, we went downstairs quickly and made the arrangements. First thing this morning -for yesterday, Friday- we filed a complaint at the Civil Guard headquarters in Alcorisa, and the agent who attended us was little less than doing us a favor because, as he told us, they only attend Tuesdays and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It is the last straw that if you are robbed you have to wait for a set schedule, so we are going to protest to insist that they implement more security measures and extend hours of attention, ”said this affected person.
In his case, the thieves entered through a window that they forced open with a shovel. “A neighbor says that around one in the morning he has heard noises around the school area and has seen some human figures with flashlights. They have seen him and have fled, leaving a pressurized water pistol there, so they have probably robbed someone else,” warned García, a resident of this urbanization called “la pedanía” who feels little protected. “They steal day or night, whether the owner is inside or not,” he concluded.
