Success for the Smiaf Festival. Over 25 thousand visitors last weekend in San Marino
“Repeating is always difficult and therefore even more beautiful”.
They say it in a note the organizers of the Smiaf Festivalwhose 15th edition ended 6 days ago in the Republic of San Marino with the heat of over 25,000 attendees.
A new page in that history that makes San Marino “a friendly country of street art thanks to the energy and commitment of many young people from San Marino and elsewhere, who use their free time, as a volunteer, to create something that it is unique in our territory “.
“An exceptional result, which confirms a visitor trend that has grown year after year – comment the organizers -. That of the Young Knowledge Festival has now become a family, a fixed meeting point for many artists, sportsmen, musicians, but above all young people. A network that has shown that it can do great things, albeit with limited budgets compared to what art requires“.
The volunteer appeal is aimed at institutions such as candidates that the Smiaf Festival is even more valued, in order to grow in its artistic part and in its social impact: “There is no lack of positive examples in the area and in the surrounding area, example of the impact that events such as Artists in Piazza di Pennabilli and Santarcangelo dei Teatri generate where they are located. Why can’t the Republic of San Marino aspire to do the same? ”.
THE REDISCOVERY OF CINEMA TOURISM AND THE PIANELLO TANKS
Another great goal that the S. Festival has concentrated again this year is “the rediscovery and re-appropriation of little-known locations or re-appropriation of the state of abandonment that can host our Historic Center: how can we not mention parkour the over 70 athletes of day of Saturday 5 August, they gave new life at the Cinema Teatro Turismoproposing within its external walls an exciting competition like the Italian Parkour Games“.
Furthermore, “over 100 people visited over the course of the three days ‘Oltre’, temporary exhibition by the San Marino sculptor and artist Sisto Righilocated in one of the most fascinating and steeped in history locations: le Cisterns of the Palazzo Pubblico“.
And again: “We could stop here, but we would not do honor to those spaces like the former Ancient quarrywhich from a car park (P6) has been transformed for 3 years into theExtreme arena, a space dedicated to all fans of extreme sports. And how not to mention here the Tower of Porta San Francescoalso this little space valued during the year but which during the Smiaf Festival, thanks also to the collaboration with the company Carlo Biagioli Srl, hosted the personal exhibition of Anna Maria Scocozza, ‘The soul dresses in paper’“.
