Infanta Cristina + Iñaki Urdangarin
The ex-couple is said to have been spotted in France
After their separation in early January 2022, Infanta Cristina and Iñaki Urdangarin are said to be spending time together again – for the sake of their children.
After spicy photos with an unknown blonde, Infanta Cristina de Borbón, 57, and Iñaki Urdangarin, 54, announced their separation in early 2022. Since then, their relationship has reportedly been strained. No wonder King Felipe’s sister, 54, had to see her husband with someone else after 25 years of marriage and four children.
Infanta Cristina and Iñaki Urdangarin: alleged vacation in France
Despite various scandals – Urdangarin was imprisoned, de Borbón gave up her duchess title – the end of Cristina and Iñaki’s relationship came as a surprise to everyone. “By mutual consent, we have decided to break our marital relationship. The commitment to our children is still unbroken,” it said, among other things, in a statement to the Spanish press agency “EFE”.
The separated parents of four now seem to follow the latter. Because according to the Spanish magazine “Hola!” Urdangarin and de Borbón not only meet again, but are said to be spending vacation days together with their children Irene, 17, Miguel, 20, and Pablo, 21, in France. This is evidenced by the photographs available for the publication. The eldest son Juan, 22, is said not to have been there.
Surfing and family fun in the familiar seaside resort?
The supposed goal of the family? Bidart in the French Basque Country. They have spent vacations there several times in the past, romping around by the sea and having a lot of fun. Cristina and Iñaki have many good memories of the community – which they should now revive. Like “Hola!” claims that the ex-couple met their children on the beach promenade a few days ago. Pablo and Miguel were surfing but are said to have come out of the water with their boards to greet their mother.
Although the divorce has not yet been officially announced, the probable decision has been made: the family sticks together. Iñaki and Cristina love their children very much, they should not suffer from the separation. The family ties should be close, for son Pablo his father is a role model. He is now also aiming for a professional handball career, has a contract with FC Barcelona and lives in Spain. When Iñaki was jailed in Spain in June 2018, the eldest son Juan is said to have even moved to Madrid. An anonymous source once claimed this to the Spanish portal “Vanitatis”. Son Miguel lives in England, while Cristina is in Geneva with her daughter.
So it wouldn’t be surprising if King Felipe’s sister and her ex-husband got closer again for the sake of the children and the family got together for a vacation in France.
