Manuel Gabrielli is the new coach of the San Marino Academy • newsrimini.it
Sara Manuel Gabrielli to collect in Roberto Pini’s guide women’s futsal training. This is not an entrance but a leap forward for the coach born in 1987, already two years in biancoazzurro in the role of assistant coach of Gabriele Cellarosi first and then of Roberto Pini himself.
“When I received the offer, I immediately felt a great enthusiasm – admit the new coach -. I know the group well and the work that has been carried out to date. I had a part in this work, and I am proud to be able to carry it on. By nature I don’t like jumping in the dark: if I had to, it’s because I’m sure that the right foundations have been laid for my rise to the bench. It is a passage in my career that sooner or later take place. I think the time has come right. I worked for a long time with Roberto Pini, not only in San Marino but also in Cesena, and he is a coach who has taught me a lot. I’ll have to be good at applying these teachings in my daily work, naturally also trying to put something of my own into it. “
This last statement offers the assist for the next question: in what way do the group and the new coach want to be similar? “Want to dare and cheek – the dry answer of Gabrielli -. I hope the girls follow me in this side of my character. Or rather, it will be my duty to make this happen. Both my staff and I will insist on the concept of not being afraid of making mistakes. By daring you can aim high, provided of course that underneath there is hard work and carried out without saving. “
The San Marino Academy has recently met the “traveling companions” of this second adventure in Serie A2: the Titans have been included in Group A, which includes 12 other teams. Four of them from Sardinia (Cus Cagliari, Jasnagora, Medirerranea Calcio a 5 and Santu Predu), two from Veneto (Futsal Hurricane and Infinity Futsal Academy), two from Milanese (Cus Milano and Pero), one from Turin (L 84) . Finally, three away matches within the regional teams: those at Bagnolo, Corticella and Polisportiva 1980. Old acquaintances and new faces, in short, within a group that promises to be at least as tough as last season. This is also what Mr. Gabrielli expects: “It will undoubtedly be a tough championship, perhaps even more so than last year. The crushing team, that is the VIP Tombolo, and also a close and strong team like Virtus Romagna have failed. But there are four long away teams in Sardinia and some of them have never faced. Last year we led a good path, even if there have been some downturns that must warn us for next season. We have, I believe, paid the Scotsman for the advancement of the category; and at some point, perhaps, even a little tired. This year we are no longer freshmen: we will have to be good at exploiting the experience and trust we have gained, aiming for greater consistency of performance. Some of our opponents are already there and it will be up to me and my staff to invent something new. In the girls I have full confidence: most of the group last year has been confirmed and so good how much they want to want to confirm themselves at these levels. I bet a lot on this.
Confirmation of last year’s blockade does not rule out some reinforcements, which will be unveiled in recent weeks. As for the coaching staff, the news, in addition to that of Gabrielli as coach “in first”, that is his deputy, Marco Paganiand the physiotherapist, who will be Matteo Aluigi.
