Mudslides and floods in Salzburger Land: 230 people are stuck in mountain huts
Zell am See. Around 230 people were temporarily stuck in mountain huts and inns because of mudslides and flooding in the Salzburg region. During clearance work on Saturday, the connecting routes to almost all of these buildings in the Oberpinzgau region were provisionally restored, according to the state administration in Salzburg.

Nine people were flown out by helicopter from a hut in the Hollersbachtal. No one was injured in the storms on Friday afternoon, a spokesman said. Those trapped were not in danger.
Floods also in Tyrol and Carinthia
Streams also burst their banks in the federal states of Tyrol and Carinthia, roads were flooded and buildings were damaged. For Saturday evening, meteorologists expected rain and thunderstorms again in those areas that were already affected on Friday.
