Toulouse. Nice supporters banned from entering the city during the match against TFC in Ligue 1

After two years of purgatory in Ligue 2, the Toulouse Football Club found (finally) the League 1 this Sunday August 7, 2022. For the first day of the championship, the Violets will oppose the Aiglons of OGC Nice, at 1 p.m., at the Stadium. A classified meeting “risky game” by the National Division for the Fight against Hooliganism (DNLH)”, observes the prefecture of Haute-Garonne, which has taken a series of security measures to avoid any overflow.
A battery of measures to avoid the ultras of Nice
Before this poster between the 4e and the 5e city of France, the secretary general of the prefecture Serge Jacob brought together all the partners, including the two clubs, on Tuesday to “finalize the security and emergency system” before this poster and thus “ensure an optimal level of security for the actors of the game, the public and all the supporters”.
Besides activating the IT security of the Stadium, the provision of a crisis room by Toulouse Métropole (owner of the site) “in the event of a major incident”, the implementation of anti-intrusion devices and anti-projection on the ground by the TFC, exceptional measures have been taken to avoid ultras, and to ensure “the supervision of the movement of Nice supporters“. The prefecture recalls that only “access to the Municipal Stadium of Toulouse is authorized for supporters of OGC Nice with tickets, issued through the Nice club, in exchange for their countermarks”. Above all, the State services have taken measures ” D’travel bans in the city of Toulouse.
Firecrackers and smoke bombs are also prohibited.
More usual, the possession, transport and use of any firecracker or smoke bomb are “strictly prohibited” within the same perimeter in the municipality of Toulouse, from Sunday August 7, 2022 8:00 a.m. to Monday August 8 00:00 a.m.
Perimeters where Nice supporters are prohibited
Apart from the meeting point which has been fixed for them, the supporters of OGC Nice are quite simply prohibited from moving around in a good part of the Pink City. The prefecture announces that “from Sunday August 7, 2022 8:00 a.m. to Monday August 8 00:00 a.m., it is forbidden for anyone claiming the status of supporter of OGC Nice or behaving as such, circular or parking on the public road”, within a defined perimeter, which goes from the Matabiau station to the Stadium, passing through the city center.
What exactly is the scope concerned?
In concrete terms, the scope of application of said measures is delimited by the following means, which are not included therein:

– Charles de Fitte aisles,
– Catalan bridge,
– avenue Paul Sejourne,
– boulevard Lascrosse,
– Boulevard d’Arcole,
– Strasbourg Boulevard
– rue Matabiau,
– avenue de Lyons,
– Arago street,
– rue des Champs-Elysées,
– boulevard Marengo,
– Jean-Jaurès alleys,
– boulevard Lazare-Carnot,
– Alleys Forain François-Verdier,

Hoping that with all this, for this long-awaited day for purple supporters, the show will be on the lawn of the Stadium, and not in the street.
