Wave of youth in the Principality. AS Monaco announced on Friday the formalization of four first professional contracts: Eliesse Ben Seghir, 17, Edan Diop, 17, Malamine Efekele, 18 and Jordan Semedo Varela, 19.
Eliesse Ben Seghir, French international midfielder U17, played his first two games with the professional team during the double opposition against Porto, on July 22 and 23. Edan Diop, younger brother of Sofiane Diop, relay midfielder, also played against Porto, during the Monegasque preparation.
Malamine Efekele, striker passed by Bondy, carried out all the preparation with the professional group, with which he played four games (against Cercle Brugge, Saint-Gall, Austria Vienna and the reserve team of Porto). Finally, left-back Jordan Semedo Varela, born in Nice in 2003, played in the U19 European Nations Championships with the France team this summer.
These four elements, who are under contract with Monaco until 2025, complete the series of six neo-professional contracts signed by the club in 2022. They are goalkeeper Alain Zadi, defenders Enzo Couto and Antonin Cartillier, as well as midfielders Mamadou Coulibaly and Florian Baranik.
