Terminals to better identify, veterans would be delighted. Through the Extended Monaco program, which aims to project Monaco into the digital age, the Principality has just unveiled new 3D terminals.
Placed at strategic points, at the station, near the tourist information point, and in the heart of the Tourist Office, visitors have been able to handle two large touch screens for several days.
A virtual replica of the city to get your bearings better
With these terminals, tourists and visitors can discover the Principality virtually and enrich themselves with a wealth of information. Indeed, the terminals list the activities in Monaco and also allow you to visualize the way to get from point A to point B. But the features that will certainly please the most are the display of Points of Interests (POI), organized by theme (monuments, beaches, shops, museums, etc.), and route suggestions according to everyone’s desires. Those in a hurry prefer the “One day in Monaco” circuit, motorsport fans, “the Formula 1 circuit” and culture lovers, the “Monuments and emblematic viewpoints” circuit, for example.

So as not to get lost, once away from the terminals, visitors could download the routes to their smartphone using a QR code.
Georges Gambarini, head of the Smart City program at the Digital Services Department, considers that these terminals ” aim to immerse the tourist in a virtual representation of the city […]. The interest is to help them choose their activities while allowing them to better identify and visualize the pedestrian route. »
