Near Toulouse: overwhelmed by the noise of a construction site, the neighbor shoots at the craftsmen
A craftsman was injured by an armed neighbor on Tuesday in Tournefeuille. He had not endured the morning noise of the carpenters.
He couldn’t stand the noise of the works and used a weapon to make it known. Tuesday morning, around 8 a.m., the tone rose between craftsmen carpenters busy renovating a roof and a neighbor in Tournefeuille, west of Toulouse. Exasperated by the noise that started at too early an hour for his taste, the latter went to see them to explain his way of thinking.
Very upset, he threatened the craftsmen, ordering them to stop making noise otherwise things would “go badly”. Ignoring these threats, the carpenters continued their work until gunfire held back around 8:30 a.m. One of the craftsmen, 30 years old, felt a sudden violent pain in the buttock. He had received a pellet.
The police intervened and the victims named their attacker. The neighbour, a 32-year-old man, is in his garden. He initially refused to speak to officials before relenting and being arrested. The police found an alarm pistol, an airsoft pistol and an airsoft rifle in his home. The suspect is heard in police custody.
The craftsmen explained that they had started their construction site early because of the announced scorching temperatures. They must file a complaint for the violence and threats. The victim’s injury did not require treatment by firefighters.
