Monaco and Nice find out more
L’AS Monaco and theOGC Nice, engaged respectively in qualifying for the Champions League and Europa League Conference, closely followed the draw for the play-offs on Tuesday. Before contesting a possible barrage, the Rock club must first win its third qualifying round for the Champions League by disposing of the tough PSV Eindhoven (first leg this Tuesday and return match Tuesday, August 9).
Monaco against Rangers or Union Saint-Gilloise?
In the event of qualification for the play-offs, the last stage before the Champions League group stage, AS Monaco will face Glasgow Rangers or Union Saint-Gilloise, on August 16-17 and 23-24, with a match return to Ludwig II. The Belgian club, author of a surprise season last year, and the Rangers, finalists of the last Europa League, are indeed also opposed to win a ticket to the dams.
Nice against Israelis or Greeks
In the Europa League Conference play-offs, on August 18 and 25, Le Gym will face the winner of the duel between Maccabi Tel Aviv or Aris Salonika. With a return match at home, like Monaco. OGC Nice notably avoids Villarreal, semi-finalists of the last Champions League. The Aiglons are directly qualified for these C4 play-offs thanks to their 5th place in the championship last year. The Israelis and the Greeks are opposed to the 3rd qualifying round. The Aiglons are one step away from returning to European competition after their participation in the Europa League during the 2020-2021 season.
