Maison du monde replaces H&M in the heart of Toulouse
The place left vacant after the departure of H&M in downtown Toulouse will be occupied by House of the world, another giant in the field of decoration this time.
Unsurprisingly, the space vacated by fashion giant H&M in downtown Toulouse will not be occupied by a small retailer or independent store. The Swedish brand saw its accounts weighed down by the health crisis linked to the coronavirus and it had difficulty finding its customers. Like several hundred H&M stores around the world, the one on rue Alsace-Lorraine definitely lowered the curtain in July 2021. The ready-to-wear giant has chosen to focus on its activities in shopping centers around of the Pink City, as in Balma Gramont or Labège.
Maison du monde settles in downtown Toulouse
It is another giant, in the field of decoration this time, which will settle on rue Alsace-Lorraine and will breathe new life into the space left empty by the Swedish brand. This is House of the World. This French distribution, furniture and decoration brand was created in 1996 and is deployed in eleven countries. She counts now more than 350 stores and jobs 8,600 people.
For the time being, signs announcing an upcoming opening are installed in front of number 27 rue d’Alsace-Lorraine, thus preventing you from seeing the progress of the work. No details on the opening date yet. By settling on rue d’Alsace-Lorraine, the Maison du monde will now have six addresses in Toulouse and its surroundings. The brand is already present in Balma Gramont, Fenouillet, Blagnac, Labège and Portet-sur-Garonne.
