LAPI, the new system to ensure compliance with paid parking
Another novelty in Toulouse. From Tuesday August 16, 2022, the municipality will authorize paid parking controls on the road. Thanks to the Automated License Plate Conferencing (LAPI), the town hall of Toulouse wishes to “offer more places available by promoting rotation”. And this, thanks to “better respect for regulated parking”.

Respect for PRM parking lots
This new system will make it possible to control the rotation of vehicles but also to respect “the rights to free parking for people holding CMI-s”. The CMI-s being the Mobility inclusion card mention parking) or CES (European parking card).
How it will go ? The Toulouse City Hall a concerted effort by associations of people with disabilities. She then proposed that the ANPR makes it possible to register vehicles driven by people with disabilities or at least transporting them.
How to register?
The persons concerned can then register since July 7th. A form must be completed and returned by post, online or received with personalized support in the Citizenship Centers.
“When the person with a disability is a child under 20, two vehicles can be referenced. Associations and companies can also benefit from this device. The referencing is valid for two years, then must be renewed”, specifies the town hall in a press release.
How to do without this referencing?
For people who are not referenced, the town hall of Toulouse specifies that a “declaration must be made by taking a free specific dematerialized ticket, valid for 24 hours, with the Parknow smartphone application or a parking meter, without obligation to return to his vehicle to affix the ticket”. And this, for each parking lot.
Of course, the places reserved for CMI-s or CES holders are not affected by the dematerialized ticket. For more information, visit the website of the Toulouse City Hall or from Allô Toulouse at 05.61.22.22.22.
