Whereas more than 900 kilometers of accumulated traffic jams currently affect the roads of France, the region Occitania not doing so badly… This is particularly the case for Toulouse and its surroundings. After a somewhat hectic morning, the situation is tending to calm down on the major roads in the region. Dot on the situation at 1:30 p.m..
Some slowdowns towards the Mediterranean
If Toulouse and its ring road are generally spared by the crossover between Julyists and Augustians, it is a little less the case forA61 towards the Mediterranean and in particular Narbonne.
Two zones have been supported since this morning: the south of the Pink City, near Villefranche-de-Lauragais, where a few traffic jams (2 kilometers) were in progress at 1:30 p.m. and another near Carcassonne where the situation was also tending to s ‘improve (no more than 10 minutes of cork).
2 hours to reach Narbonne
Still hampered by the works between Toulouse and Castelnaudary, traffic on the A61 is not the easiest on this last Saturday of July. Count almost two hours to reach Narbonne (compared to 1h10) in normal times. In the opposite direction, practically no slowdown to be expected.
Other slowdowns are in progress if you have to continue your journey after Narbonne, towards Spain (1h25 instead of 45 minutes).
Regarding the A62, no slowdown observed between Bordeaux and Toulouse.
Distrust all the same, the traffic jams could pick up again in the middle of the afternoon, after lunch.
