Sergei Pavlovich was born on May 13, 1992 in the village of Orlovsky, Rostov Region. The fighter believes that life in the province gave him rich health – as a child, he ate the rules of nutrition and spent a lot of time on the street.
Now he lives in Moscow – his height is 192 centimeters and weighs 115 kilograms. The hero admits that sometimes he has to find life in a metropolis and tries to travel to his native places more often to see family and friends. Pavlovich wants to raise children in the village so that they are also healthy. However, this is not yet discussed – the fighter is single and has no children.
Pavlovich did not always want to be a fighter: he appeared in handball, but survived from the section due to inflammation

“A coach came to us and opened the Greco-Roman wrestling section. I still went to kindergarten, started going to the Greco-Roman wrestling section, I was about five years old. I remember we had an hour of walking down the street in the kindergarten, at which time my older brother came to me, took me to training and took me back an hour later. We have all the children from my street went to the ban.
As a child, Pavlovich bought discs with UFC tournaments and rooted for Emelianenko
Pavlovich lived in the countryside and traveled to UFC tournaments with great difficulty. He fell in love with MMA, dreaming of becoming a league champion:
“I have been in sports since childhood, from a very early age. I remember how in my childhood UFC fights went on discs, although in our village we have problems with this. At the moment, he realized that this sport impressed me very much. As soon as the discs appeared, I bought them all. Then in the UFC there was a tough fighter David “Tank” Abbott, Oleg Taktarov. Then I learned that in Russia there is such a fighter – Fedor Emelianenko. I watched all the fights, grew up on it.
As a child, Pavlovich was a fan of Emelianenko. And he believes that Fedor could become a UFC champion:
“Emelianenko appears on my appearance. I have been following the fights since childhood, and Fedor’s victories became the motivation for me. He inspired me. It’s nice that we have such an invincible fighter in our country. I think Emelianenko could become a UFC champion if he was offered such a fight. I would never have agreed to fight him. Fedor is a legend, I grew up on his arrests. I have too much respect for this man and would not fight him.
In 2016, Pavlovich went to the training camp in Stary Oskol in the Emelianenko team. The fighter liked the training, but he did not appear again in Fedor’s camp.
Pavlovich served in the elite troops of the Airborne Forces and is proud of it
After school, Pavlovich went into the army, where he served in a reconnaissance and airborne company. There, Pavlovich became interested in army hand-to-hand combat, and after returning he took up martial arts. Having moved to Moscow, Sergey became interested in MMA, but he did not forget about the service – he has the nickname Desant in Zoom.
Pavlovich was the AMC Fight Nights champion and won Fedor’s student
Pavlovich started MMA fighters right away in AMC Fight Nights, the top Russian league. There Sergey spent 11 fights without suffering a single defeat.
And on June 2, 2017, in a fight against Mikhail Mokhnatkin, Pavlovich won the heavyweight champion title. Later, he defended the belt in a fight against Kirilladel Simnikov, a student of Emelianenko, whom many compared to Fedor and called Baby Fedor.

In 2018, Pavlovich signed a contract with the UFC. In the debut case, he was directly under Alistair Overeem and suffered a technical knockout in the first round. Pavlovich then defeated Brazilian Marcelo Golm by knockout in the first round and received a bonus for the best performance of the evening of 50 thousand dollars. In the next fight against the American Maurice Green, he won in the first round by technical knockout.
In March 2022, after more than two years of downtime due to injury, Pavlovich fought at UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs. Aspinall. Pavlovich defeated Shamil Abdurakhimov by technical knockout in the first round, after which he went to Lewis.

And prepared for Lewis to help the Wolves – the other heavyweight of the UFC. Alexander marked Lewis with a knockout in 2018, and now he has been persecuting Derrick in sparring.

Pavlovich in the UFC: despite the simple and expected, they are well promoted in the rankings. After Lewis, Sergey will definitely break into the top 10.
In the UFC, fighters often complain that they can’t move up the rankings – they have to rack up sensual winning streaks to get into the top 10. Pavlovich has passed such a part – the promotion for him is clearly overpriced.
Already in his debut, he met with the name Alistair Overeem. Despite the defeat and a series of injuries, Pavlovich is now 11th in the rankings – with a very modest record of 3-1 in the UFC, but will already fight with the 5th number of heavyweights.
