Elite Group: the Reds and Whites on English time!
Placed in Group B of the Premier League International Club, Damien Perrinelle’s men will face Manchester United, Arsenal, West Ham and Brighton in the first phase of the competition. Four gala posters in perspective!
Officially launched on June 30 and in full pre-season preparation since July 11, the young players of the Elite group already know their program within the Premier League International Cup (PLIC), a prestigious competition bringing together some of the top European clubs.
The draw for the groups, carried out this week, has reserved for them heavy: Manchester United, Arsenal, West Ham and Brighton FC will stand on the road of the Monegasques.
Four meetings with an English accent which will aim to confront the men of Damien Perrinelle with the big names of the formation of Across the Channel and thus to continue their development within the Academy.
Composed of three groups, the final grid will see the two best of each group as well as the two best thirds validate their ticket for the quarter-finals.
A new calendar for a better training course
The result of a global reflection on the development of young potential, the AS Monaco Elite group will rely in particular on players who reached the final of the French U19 championship at the end of last season.
In addition to the PLIC, the young Monegasques will complete their calendar with matches against foreign clubs or French seniors which will be announced soon.
