Toulouse: At the start of the school year, return of the Air Meeting of the Stars and Wings
On September 24 and 25, the Des Etoiles et des Ailes airshow will return to its quarters at Toulouse Francazal airport.
Highly anticipated since the success of its 2018 edition, with no less than 30,000 spectators, the Des Etoiles et des Ailes air show is offering a fourth edition at the start of the school year, still in Francazal. And once again the program will fascinate aviation lovers, neophytes, young and old alike.
During this unmissable event for aviation enthusiasts and as with every edition, there will be the opportunity to exhibit the history of aviation and visitors will be able to admire more than a hundred legendary planes from yesterday and today, come from all over Europe and for nearly 13 hours of air show over the weekend.
Show in the air
In particular, the public will be able to see a patrol of 2 x Cessna 337 Push Pull from Madrid, never seen in France, which will open a dynamic tableau which will be followed by an exceptional patrol made up of a Skyraider, a Bronco and an F-86 which will fly in initial formation and then each make an individual demonstration, all enhanced by pyrotechnic effects.
It will be a unique spectacle in Toulouse, just like the Yako Team patrol which will be at the meeting for the first time, or the Grumman G164 specialized in spreading and forest fires.
Over these two days, static or in-flight presentations will follow one another and the air show will take visitors on a journey with, in particular, the demonstration patrol of the Royal Air Force of Morocco “La Marche Verte” which will be exclusively in Toulouse. , the only city in France and Europe to host it this year.
The Patrouille de France
One of the highlights of these aerial parades will be the new “ribbon” presentation of the Patrouille de France which will assess on Saturday and Sunday as well as the Air and Space Force which will present one of its state-of-the-art ambassadors, the Rafale Solo Display. The imposing A400M military transport aircraft, whose history is intimately linked to the city of Toulouse, will also be one of the attractions of this meeting.
New in 2022
For the first time in Toulouse within the framework of the air show, the association of Stars and Wings organizes the Forum of Aeronautical Professions. This forum is intended both for training organizations but also for companies in the aeronautical sector who are recruiting.
The 1st face-to-face final of the “Aigle Trophy” flight simulation competition will be held at the Toulouse air show.
