Belarus and Russia should consolidate and dictate commodity prices on world markets
Belarus and Russia should consolidate and dictate higher terms for the sale of international commodity exports, which include both countries. This was stated to journalists by the Governor of the Perm Territory Dmitry Makhonin following a meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, reports BelTA.
The characteristics of the region have an impact on the similarity of the economy of Belarus and the Perm Territory: both there and there produce significant global volumes of potassium, an important place is occupied by oil refining and mechanical engineering. During the visit of the delegation of the Perm Territory, a working meeting with the Director General of JSC “Belaruskali” Ivan Golovaty is planned. Answering a question about the discussions during this meeting, Dmitry Makhonin said: “The key task (this becomes the level of the resolution of the Russian Federation, but the Perm Territory cannot be indifferent) is to make sure that our products, primarily potassium chloride, are on the world they say we need to consolidate even more and be in a good position to dictate the terms of the international markets for those commodities. And our main task is for companies to consolidate in this adaptation.
