A unique educational project in France.
The National Veterinary School of Toulouse (ENVT) welcomes in its premises a breeding of Goldens Retrievers puppies, as revealed by the Dépêche du midi.
A project called “Toulouse Gold Cohort”
In total, fourteen puppies were born within this breeding which has an educational goal. Indeed, this unprecedented project called “Toulouse Gold Cohort” aims “to teach the reproduction of dogs, the monitoring of pregnancy, the care of newborns or even preventive medicine”, specifies in the columns of the newspaper, Hanna Mina, researcher and project manager.
Puppies that will become service dogs
Until the canines are 18 months old, the students will take turns to take care of them and thus learn more about illnesses and “establish links between anxiety and potential health problems”.
