The most expensive municipality in Belgium is…
Laethem-Saint-Martin, with a median price of 1,075,000 euros. Knokke appears in second place with a median price of 752,000 euros. In third place, we find Tervuren in Flanders with a median price of 557,500 euros. In Brussels, the municipality of Ixelles dominates (730,500 euros), followed by Woluwe-Saint-Pierre (690,000 euros) and Uccle (643,500 euros). In Wallonia, Lasne remains the most expensive municipality (643,500 euros in median price), followed by La Hulpe (585,000 euros) and Waterloo (550,000 euros).
If we count Belgium as a whole, the median price of a house of type closed or semi-closed amounted to 255,000 euros. The price of an open type house was 360,000 euros. The Walloon Region is the least expensive region, followed by the Flemish Region. It’s here Brussels-Capital Region which is the most expensive for all types of housing. Flemish Brabant and Walloon Brabant are the most expensive provinces. The cheapest Flemish province is Limburg, and the cheapest Walloon province is Hainaut. And if, as we have seen, Laethem-Saint-Martin is the most expensive municipality, Hastière is the least expensive.
