AS Monaco Mercato: Ruben Aguilar extends his contract for one season
AS Monaco has reinforced the contract of a member of Philippe Clément’s team. Ruben Aguilar signed a new one-year contract. His initial contract being valid until June 2024, he is now linked to the Principality club until June 30, 2025. “ASM is pleased to announce the extension of Ruben Aguilar’s contract for an additional season”a statement from the Ligue 1 club.
Recruited from Montpellier HSC in August 2019 for €8 million, the right-back quickly established himself within the Monegasque team, even passing the world champion Djibril Sidibe. In three seasons, he has reached the symbolic milestone of 100 games played in the Red and White jersey, for 3 goals scored and 10 assists delivered. Thanks to his performances with the Asemists, the 29-year-old defender was selected by Didier Deschamps in November 2020. He took part in the friendly match lost against Finland (0-2).
