Hungary must be a local exception in the continental crisis
The government’s goal is for Hungary to be a local exception in the European continental crisis, for which the appropriate foundations have been laid, as our country has emerged stronger from all the crises of the past period, stated Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó in Nyírbátor on Monday.
The portfolio manager at Diehl Aviation Hungary Kft. announced at his ten-year anniversary celebration and hall opening that in the past ten to eleven years, he had to face many crises, such as financial, migration and health crises, and these “elemental blows are taking a toll on the world, but also on the economy of Europe”.
The European economy is struggling, suffering, and unfortunately the black soup has to say that it is behind, since the energy supply crisis, which is looming on the horizon, presents an extremely difficult vision for the European economy.” – laiter out.
“Of course, we have heard Western European politicians talk before that they have already solved this, that Europe has separated itself from Russian gas, in any case, the alarm and somewhat chaotic measures of the past period do not support this,” he added.
Then, following the European responses to the war in Ukraine, it is precisely the continent that imposes the sanctions that suffers from an energy emergency, and not the country against which it was imposed.
Péter Szijjártó stated: the aim of the government is for Hungary to be a local exception in the continental crisis, for which the appropriate foundations have been given, since our country has been able to emerge from all difficulties strengthened in the past period.
As he said, the basis for this was the investment promotion economic policy implemented twelve years ago, which is based on the lowest tax burdens, instead of austerity, they supported the prevention of unemployment even during crises, and created an environment that is worth working and creating jobs.
According to his words, this economic policy proved to be crisis-proof, as evidenced by last year’s investment, employment, growth and export records.
According to the minister, Diehl with the investment worth HUF 2.5 billion, which has just been handed over, it has now built the third production hall in Hungary, where it will produce aircraft parts. The project of the company, which employs 870 people in Hungary, was supported by the state with HUF 867 million.
He also mentioned that the domestic sector dealing with the production of air and space vehicles, which employs more than 3,300 people, grew by 34 percent in the first five months of this year, and its production value thus exceeded HUF 70 billion.
Finally, he pointed out: German companies make up the largest investor community in Hungary, and bilateral trade turnover reached 60 billion euros last year, which is considered a record, and its volume also increased by 7% in the first four months of this year.
