Monaco win against Porto
Unfortunately, we would have liked it to be the same for the confrontations in the Champions League, but was not choosy. AS Monaco won its first round against FC Porto, in a friendly.
Thanks to the powerful rookie, number two in the order of arrivals, Breel Embolo, AS Monaco “bis” beat the reserve of FC Porto. A team far from being anonymous because it has already been champion of the Portuguese second division and above all it has already won the Premier League International Cup twice, a competition that the newly formed elite group within our Academy plans to play.
It was the occasion to inaugurate the magnificent new jersey away (question of taste, you might say). In a globally controlled encounter, our favorite Swiss international therefore chose to score a double (7′ and 45′) for his first in Rouge & Blanc. Next step: a new meeting against Porto, this Saturday, at 9:00 p.m.
The Monegasque group
Didillon (Liénard, 60th) – Aguilar (Couto, 74th), Marcelin, Matsima, Jakobs – Fofana, Lemarechal – Akliouche (Efekele, 60th), Ben Seghir (Coulibaly, 46th), Gelson Martins (E.Diop, 60th) – Embolo (Bamba, 46th)
