Breel Embolo slams a brace in 45 minutes
His first but in his new colors, after only seven short minutes. Ismail Jakobs’ teammates, found a lot on his left wing, did not drop in pace, and the German side tried a cross shot (10th) then a setback from Gelson Martins (19th).
Porto’s response is shy (12th), and it is even Maghnes Akliouche who is close to offering the but of the break against the Portuguese goalkeeper (31st). But it is finally the new number 36 of AS Monaco who doubles the bet. He transformed a penalty himself, on an action which had seen Eliesse Ben Seghir shake the nets, at the time of the referee’s whistle (0-2, 45th).

A controlled second round
The second act begins with the entry of two new talents from the Diagonal, the neo-pro Mamadou Coulibaly and Mohamed Bamba, who make their appearance in the middle and on the wing. They are followed on the hour mark by their partners Yann Liénard, Edan Diop and Malamine Efekele. Meanwhile, Thomas Didillon made a good save from the start (50th). Before his young counterpart distinguished himself in turn by releasing a magnificent tap on a free kick (64th), to keep the Monegasque goal untouched.
The opportunities are rarer on both sides, while the heat draws on the organisms. The score therefore remained there, despite the speed of the Red and Whites on the sides, and AS Monaco of Philippe Clément ended up winning with eight players trained in the Principality against the Porto reserve (2-0). A successful first with the new Away 2022-2023 jersey. Well done young people!
