22 employees are missing, the family pool must now close – Austria News
The family pool at the Rupertus Therme has to close due to a lack of staff. The gastro also had to be closed.
The Rupertus Therme in Bad Reichenhall would need 22 employees to keep it running. But the personal is missing. Now the popular excursion destination has to close parts. The family pool will remain closed for a month from August.
“We had to pull the emergency brake, also in order not to endanger our existing employees and employees,” says Dirk Sasse, Managing Director of the Bavarian State Spa Bad Reichenhall, Kur GmbH Bad Reichenhall, to the “Salzburger Nachrichten”.

Staff works on the stop
As early as July, the gastronomy in the family pool and the sauna restaurant had to be closed due to the lack of skilled workers. A quarter of the 90 posts in the spa are currently vacant. “We also reacted for the benefit of our remaining staff, who work on the stop and are of course entitled to vacation and time off in lieu,” says Sasse.
Lifeguards and lifeguards wanted
Personnel planning for the winter season, which accounts for 70 percent of sales, is particularly relevant for the managing director. For months, the head of the thermal baths has been placing ads and trying to recruit staff. He’s not thinking about giving up yet. “We will try to win more employees for us with a campaign,” explains Sasse to the “SN”.
The spa is currently looking for all areas. Whether as a lifeguard, waiter, technician, at the cash desk or as a lifeguard.
