record in Toulouse for consecutive days above 30 degrees
This Thursday, July 21, the Météo-France station in Toulouse Blagnac recorded 30 degrees. It is thus the 17th consecutive day, since July 5, where it is at least 30 degrees in maximum temperature in the afternoon in Toulouse, a record.
On average, three degrees too high
According to Météo-France, these 17 consecutive days above the high heat threshold constituted by these 30 degrees, are a record since the opening of the station in 1947. The last high heat duration record in Toulouse dated from the summer of 2006with 16 days of high temperatures in July.
The gap with the previous record should widen since temperatures are expected to exceed 30 degrees in the coming days in Toulouse, even if a doubt remains for Saturday July 23.
With an average of around 24 degrees in the pink city in July for the moment day and night combined, the Haute-Garonne, but also Tarn and Aveyron shows an anomaly three degrees higher than the usual monthly averages.
