the Téléo cable car shut down for 2 weeks in August
From August 1 to 14, 2022, it will be impossible to borrow Téléo. The Toulouse cable car will be shut down for two weeks. This is for Tisséo to carry out the annual regulatory maintenance. Substitute buses will be put in place.
A few weeks after its opening, the Toulouse Téléo cable car will close its doors to the public for 2 weeks from August 1 to 14, 2022. It will undergo its first regulatory annual maintenance.
Barely more than 2 months after its opening, the Toulouse Téléo cable car will undergo its first facelift.
From August 1, and for 15 days, it will be impossible for Toulouse residents to take it between the Oncopole and the Université Paul Sabatier metro station. the cable car will be shut down to undergo its first annual maintenance operation: “These two weeks of interruption allow long operations to be carried out which cannot be carried out during Téléo’s closing hours at night between midnight 30 and 5:15 am”says Tisséo. “In particular, we will check all equipment and systems and update operating software.”
To be able to use public transport on the Téléo route, several alternative bus services will be put in place:
- A connection between Paul Sabatier University and Rangueil Hospital will be offered every 10 minutes during peak hours and every 20 minutes during off-peak hours. It will also operate on Saturday and Sunday.
- The Linéo 5 will connect the Oncopole station to the Empalot metro station on line B and thus reach the Paul Sabatier University. This line will work both ways.
All these maintenance operations are aimed at guaranteeing passenger comfort and safety. They will be renewed each year in summer, when attendance is lowest.
The cable car, which has already experienced several “tariffs” since its opening on May 13, 2022, will reopen to the public on August 15. 7 to 8000 people generally use it every day.
